Nanda Clocky Available

embedded by Embedded Video

Although it doesn’t solve all of life’s problems, Nanda’s Clocky more than adequately does its job of solving one of life’s hardest – getting up in the mornings. Especially now in the winter months, it seems harder and harder to get up each day. So unless you come across a better way to drag yourself out of bed in the mornings (please advise us if you do), here’s a simple solution. Equip your alarm clock with two wheels enabling it to run rampant around the room when it goes off. Surely, you’ll lose all urge to snooze after scrambling around the room to turn off the Clocky.

The Clocky is extremely durable and is engineered to jump from 3 feet high. So you need not worry about it breaking. It has a similar beep to everyone’ favourite Star Wars’ robot R2D2 and has a flashing backlight when wheeling away.

The Nanda Clocky is available now at the Vidafine shop.

Obama Plates by Shephard Fairey

We know. You’ve been hearing nothing but Obama the last couple of days and if you expected not to hear about it here, well you were wrong. In light of all the festivities surrounding the inauguration of everyone’s favourite President, one of our much venerated artists Shephard Fairey designed a commemorative plate for this historic event. Already a living legend in the street art world, Shephard Fairey rose to new heights this year with his famed Hope poster of President Obama. The porcelain plates come in a gift box and are available at The Future Perfect.

bailey doesn’t bark

If the whole recession thing isn’t a big enough problem in itself to reduce food on the table, you’ve now got ants to fight over your food with. Well, not quite. An ingenious design which we came across recently is the “Ants On My Spoon” by bailey doesn’t bark. Rather self explanatory by it’s name, the spoon is masterfully decorated with miniscule ants. Besides this, bailey doesn’t bark has other tabletop items featuring this ant design including: Ants On My Cup, Ants On My Cup and Saucer, Ants On My Mug … well you get the point.

Optimus Maximus Keyboard

Once again, Christmas has passed and as usual there’s a lot of things from our wishlist that we didn’t get. One of our most coveted items which we believe would really simplify our lives is the keyboard from the Art Lebedev Studio. Their Optimus Maximus keyboard contains 113 OLED lit keys which are able change displays depending on the functions mapped on. Imagine the convenience of running Photoshop with the OLED keys displaying all the tools desired. I guess we’ll just have to wait another 12 months before we can look forward to finding this under the tree.

Welcome 2009

We at Vidafine would like to take the time to wish everyone a Happy New Year. There’s lots to look forward to and we hope you all have an exciting year. And remember to keep a lookout for what we have in store for 2009.
