Now I’m sure the biggest fear on top of everyone’s list is Radio Frequency Identification Theft (RFID theft). I mean, who isn’t afraid of having the frequency from their brainwaves read by RFID theives from all around. But in all seriousness, for all those who aren’t too familiar with RFID theft, here’s a quick rundown.
Pretty Beach House
As summer is in full swing (for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere that is), I’m sure most of us have hit the beach. For those who haven’t had that chance yet, allow us to bring you there – well sort of. Meet the Pretty Beach House which is situated 100 km north of Sydney, Australia. As the name suggests, the above Pretty Beach is indeed, very pretty.
Darfur Dream Team

Living in a westernized country, sometimes we tend to overlook how good we have it. With what we see as essentials such as running water and electricity, we sometimes tend to forget how lucky we are when we don’t even have to deal with problems like social unrest and civil wars in other parts of the world. One of the biggest social conflicts falling under the worldwide spotlight in recent years has been the war in Darfur.
Fire Extinguisher For Stylish Home
Few of us have a fire extinguisher at home, although you would wish you do when someone like me is cooking in the kitchen. But really, who would want that ugly red tank sticking out from their kitchen wall? Fire Design says… “Hmm… what if we make the fire extinguisher really pretty?” Best way to promote fire safety, I must say.
The School of Life

If you’ve been keeping up with us regularly, you probably have come to realize that we’ve taken quite an interest in uncharacteristic shops (as seen here and here). So when a friend gave me a heads up on The School of Life, needless to say we were quite fascinated. The School of Life is not exactly a shop per se, but a social enterprise as they call themselves. So what the heck is that you might ask? Well, The School of Life’s philosophy is to provide a variety of programmes and services concerned with how to live wisely and well for the locals of Central London. Simply put, they’re out to expand your mind, with the intention of improving everyday living. Besides their shop, they offer courses on love, politics, work, play and family. They host meals for strangers to come together and share their inspirations and experiences. The School of Life also offers a handful of other intelligent conversation stimulus services but I’m guessing you get the idea.
Wicked Laser Pointers
We’ve all seen custom phone skins and plates, but what about fancy laser pointers for those adventurous geeks? Presentations are inevitable these days, whether its at the office or in front of friends, it’s always helpful to keep a laser pointer around to show your professionalism. However, I find that such a cool gadget is often aesthetically not pleasing. But after some hunting, I discovered one brand that actually pays some attention to the exterior casing design. You can find these at Wicked Lasers. They even offer an aluminum alloy carrying case to protect your little toy. Now that is cool.
Hong Kong PolyU Design Annual Show
Every year, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU)’s School of Design holds an Annual show featuring students’ works. This year, it was held at the InnoCentre in Kowloon Tong from May 29th to June 13th. I was fortunate enough to attend and had the opportunity to view first hand the creative and forward thinking projects that these students came up with.
