5 minute ice cream
In the middle of May, it’s 30 degrees Celsius in Toronto today! Instead of bracing the expected line ups at your local ice cream parlour, how about making some of your own for this momentous occasion? I came across this simple and easy recipe for those who are looking to embrace this nice weather with a delicious bowl of ice cream. Here we go:
Step 1: Buy Ingredients
1 package of frozen fruit (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, peaches, cherries, strawberries.. you get the idea.)
1/2 cup of sugar
2/3 cup of heavy cream (or milk for those who are conscious of their waistlines
)
1 tsp of vanilla
Step 2: Make Ice Cream
Combine the frozen fruit, sugar, cream/milk and vanilla in a food processor or blender
Process until the fruit is roughly chopped and mixture resembles ice cream
Step 3: Eat Ice Cream
Your ice cream is ready to enjoy!
(for a firmer texture, leave mixture in the freezer for a couple of hours!)
