How many times have you agreed to meet someone at a trendy new hotspot or have gone exploring a new part of town only to get yourself lost? You swore you passed by that gas station five times already but you know you’re going the right way, at least you think.
It’s true that smart phones can do it all nowadays but sometimes the screen’s too small. You can expand it with your fingers but you’ve then got to swipe, zoom and squint. We all love projectors because they blow everything up to ten times their size but who wants to carry all of that around?
With this device, you can have the best of both worlds. Being called the Maptor, the device allows travellers to carry it around their neck or in their pockets. When you aren’t sure which way to go, this on-board GPS device can show you the way. By shining it onto any available surface, you will be able to see where you are and what’s around you; essentially, it’s a map projector.
Maptor is also made from biodegradable plastic and does not pollute the environment in any way, or so they say.
This is another example of an item that makes the lives of many easier and more efficient. With inventions like these, there will be some who view it as useless but in another person’s eyes, it could save them a lot of trouble.
What do you think? Is it useful or just another gimmick to earn some extra cash?
